What makes The Inspired Mind different?
At The Inspired Mind, we believe the most meaningful learning happens through the process, not just the finished product. Instead of telling children what to create or how to think, we provide inspiring materials, thought-provoking challenges, and supportive guidance that encourages them to explore, experiment, question, and discover.
Our child-led, hands-on experiences help children build far more than art projects or science experiments. Along the way, they develop creativity, confidence, critical thinking, collaboration, resilience, and a genuine love of learning. Every challenge, mistake, and breakthrough becomes an opportunity to grow.
While many programs focus on what children make, we focus on who they become.
What does a typical visit look like?
No two visits to The Inspired Mind are exactly alike, and that's by design! Each time they visit, children are invited to explore a variety of hands-on experiences, including art, science, building, engineering, and creative challenges inspired by open-ended provocations.
They can choose where to begin, follow their curiosity, work independently, collaborate with others, or revisit an idea in a new way. Along the way, our Experience Facilitators encourage children to ask questions, solve problems, think creatively, and persevere through challenges without taking over the learning process.
Every visit is filled with opportunities to explore, create, experiment, and discover, making each experience as unique as the child participating.
Who are the instructors and staff?
Our team is made up of caring, enthusiastic professionals who are passionate about helping children learn through exploration, creativity, and discovery. Rather than directing every activity or providing all the answers, our Experience Facilitators encourage children to ask questions, think critically, solve problems, and build confidence through hands-on experiences.
Every team member completes the required background clearances and training, along with additional onboarding that prepares them to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where every child feels encouraged, respected, and inspired to learn. Learn more about our staff here.
Is the Inspired Mind a good fit for my child?
We designed The Inspired Mind with the belief that there isn't just one "type" of learner. Some children jump right into new experiences, while others prefer to observe before joining in. Some love building and engineering, others are drawn to art, science, or imaginative problem-solving. Some thrive working independently, while others enjoy collaborating with friends.
Because our experiences are open-ended and child-led, every child has the opportunity to engage in ways that match their interests, strengths, and personality. There isn't a "right" way to explore, create, or discover here.
Whether your child is curious, creative, analytical, energetic, thoughtful, outgoing, or quietly observant, they'll find meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and build confidence at The Inspired Mind.
How do I choose the right program?
Age ranges and program descriptions are included on our registration page, which can be found here. If you’re unsure, please contact us here.
What are your hours?
How are children supervised?
Program days and times vary. Please stay tuned to hear about schedules and availability.
Children's safety and engagement are our highest priorities. We thoughtfully schedule our team based on the ages of the children, the activities being offered, and the number of participants each day. This allows our Experience Facilitators to provide attentive supervision, meaningful interactions, and individualized support while creating a safe, welcoming environment where children can confidently explore and learn.
How should I prepare to send my child to The Inspired Mind?
We want every child to arrive ready to explore, create, and have fun! We recommend dressing your child in comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes that are appropriate for active, hands-on experiences. While we use washable materials whenever possible, creativity can sometimes get a little messy, so we encourage families to leave special outfits at home.
Please send your child with a labeled water bottle. Depending on the length and timing of the program, they may also need a labeled snack and/or lunch. Any food requirements for your child's specific program will be communicated in advance.
To help us maintain a safe environment for everyone, we ask families to be mindful of food allergies when packing snacks and meals. If your child has a food allergy, please communicate this ahead of time.
Most importantly, send your child ready to be curious, ask questions, try new things, and enjoy the experience. We'll take care of the rest!
How do I register my child, and when should I sign up?
Registration is completed online through our website, making it easy to browse programs, view availability, and reserve your child's spot.
We encourage families to register as early as possible. At The Inspired Mind, we intentionally limit enrollment to preserve the quality of each experience. Rather than filling every available seat, we keep our programs at sizes that allow children to receive meaningful guidance, build relationships, collaborate with others, and fully engage in hands-on exploration.
Once a program reaches its enrollment limit, registration will close. We believe this commitment to quality creates a better experience for every child. Please stay tuned for our registration to open.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation and refund policies will be available on each program's registration page when registration opens.
How can I contact you?
Use the contact form on our website or email us at hello@theinspiredmindlv.com. We'd be happy to answer your questions!
Do parents stay or drop off?
It depends on the program. Open Play is designed for children to attend with a parent or caregiver, while most of our other programs are drop-off experiences. Each program description will indicate whether adult participation is required.
Do you accommodate children with allergies or special needs?
We strive to create an inclusive environment where every child can participate. If your child has allergies, medical needs, or would benefit from accommodations, please contact us at hello@theinspiredmindlv.com before registering so we can discuss how to work together to best support your family.
Do you offer memberships? Can I purchase time at The Inspired Mind in advance?
Please stay tuned! We’re still figuring this one out :)
Can siblings attend together?
Absolutely! Siblings are welcome to attend together as long as each child meets the age requirements for the program. Some activities may group children by age or developmental level to ensure everyone has a positive experience.
